On Jan 22-23, 2011, Bangalore is going to witness what I call a techfull weekend. Yes, 2 days of completely technology filled sessions. Wondering what is that, well read on .
BDotNet – Bangalore DotNet User Group – one of the most active User Groups in India is back again with a bang. If you have been following my blog posts we had a similar one day event back in Oct 2010 – called DevCon 2010 – Developer Conference 2010. Now in January 2011, starting the new year with a brand new event.
This time folks at BDotNet (www.bdotnet.in) and BITPro (www.bitpro.in) are back with what we call as Bangalore Community Tech Ed 2011. TechEd is a premiere Microsoft event held every year all over the world. Usually it’s a 2-3 days event completely hosted by Microsoft and a paid event. Community TechEd is usually a community event where UG groups like BDotNet and BITPro take the center stage and create similar environment as Microsoft TechEd but this event is free. Yes completely free.
Just to give you a glimpse of what’s stored in those 2 days hear this. We have 3 tracks all together – Developer Track 1, Developer Track 2 and ITPro track. 21 Speakers – 2 International speakers and 21 sessions. I say wow. So many speakers and so many sessions – which one to attend and which to not. Some of the topics for the event are : Agile, WPF, WCF/WF 4, OData, HTML5, SharePoint 2010, ASP.NET, Azure, ADO.NET, EF, SQL Server, Desktop As A Service (DaaS), Lite Touch Installation, AD. Phew… so many things to digest.
I am happy to say that I am going to speaking in this event. This is by far the biggest platform I have got to showcase my community speaking skills. I will be speaking for the topic “OData for the open web”. I had blogged about my experience in Community Tech Days in Mysore. I had taken the same topic but that was more in depth look at OData. This time I will be speaking about OData from beginner level. Basically what and why of OData. The sessions going to be interesting. So do come by and give me your feedbacks. I am super excited as my session will be a pre session to one of the international speaker “Stephen Forte” – Chief Strategy Officer at Telerik. He will be handling a session where he is going to show how easy it is to build a OData feed. So don’t miss my session and Stephen forte session. Hoping to see all you guys there
